Costing must be trusted
If plant, finance and leadership teams do not trust the cost base, every quotation and margin review becomes a negotiation rather than a decision.
About Precision Cost
Precision Cost is led by Rajnish Khare, a Finance & Controlling professional with 25+ years of operating experience in automotive and aerospace component manufacturing units.
The founder’s view
A manufacturing business does not need more decorative dashboards. It needs numbers that help management decide: price, produce, quote, invest, recover or stop.
Rajnish Khare has spent more than two decades in Finance & Controlling roles inside automotive and aerospace component manufacturing environments. That experience shapes the point of view behind Precision Cost: financial performance cannot be improved from the P&L alone.
In manufacturing, margin is formed inside the plant — in material consumption, process loss, standard cost assumptions, rework, inventory decisions, purchase timing, customer recoveries and the discipline of variance review. If these signals are weak, management is forced to run the business with partial information.
Precision Cost was created for mid-market manufacturers that have outgrown basic bookkeeping but do not yet have the senior finance-control depth required for sharper cost and margin decisions. The advisory is practical, plant-aware and built around decision usefulness.
There are no invented testimonials here. The credibility comes from operating experience: SAP S/4HANA involvement, standard costing implementation across 11 plants, budgeting, MIS, inventory control, working capital reviews and the daily reality of making finance useful to manufacturing leadership.
Operating credibility
The site does not show client logos or testimonials because the independent practice is new. The experience behind it is not.
What Precision Cost believes
Good manufacturing finance is not a monthly ritual. It is an operating discipline that helps managers act earlier.
If plant, finance and leadership teams do not trust the cost base, every quotation and margin review becomes a negotiation rather than a decision.
A variance report is not useful because it is detailed. It is useful when it shows where control is weak and who must act next.
Component manufacturing is not a spreadsheet business. The numbers must reflect material movement, process realities and customer commitments.
Experience areas
Precision Cost is intentionally narrow: cost control and financial performance for automotive and aerospace component manufacturers.
Designing and strengthening standard costing mechanisms so management can understand contribution, variance and pricing impact with better confidence.
Creating reporting and review structures that help leaders see exceptions, not just totals, and use finance as a management-control function.
Examining where cash is held inside stock, process, receivables or operating assumptions — and what management can reasonably change.
Using system knowledge with operating judgement, so data structures support real cost visibility rather than becoming another administrative layer.
A narrow advisory by design
Automotive and aerospace component manufacturing has enough complexity. The advisory stays focused on the financial controls that matter most.
